About this deal

I have lived with MS for 20 years and Brooke’s book touched me and hit me hard just knowing I’m not alone. As I read, I realize I am perhaps delving into journal entries, as the author herself paid attention to what God was doing and enrolled herself into the school of affliction.

It is a mystery, but one that will never be discovered without accepting it from God, as from His hand. For those of us who are in Christ, we have the assurance that we will enter His kingdom whole and complete, and that one day He will give us resurrection bodies. So, don't trust your feelings, embrace what Scripture says and what this author stays consistent to and enjoy these abiding truths. As one who experiences more than one chronic condition, to think God “ordained” such makes me feel angry and rebellious against such a God.

It has really shown me how strong those like me are and as CHRIST continued to trust in God knowing there will be an eternal ever after in a body that is not ill ridden but healthy and free. There is so much more about Christ suffering in us, feeling our infirmities, being under the yoke and bearing the burden of our afflictions and our anxieties. I received a complimentary copy of this book through JustRead Publicity Tours and was not required to post a favorable review. Chronic Love shows women how they can rely on God to get them through their days and all their obligations.

Jesus told us we would face perilous trials and that even our bodies would feel the effects of the Fall.Clearly the agony and how our Lord would be treated and killed was within God the Father's direct and ordained will. Saying that Gods will is chronic illness for some I find unbiblical and discouraging no matter all the good passings in this book. Ambassador International's mission is to impact lives by publishing books that magnify Christ and share the Gospel.

Our Mission It is our intention to use this space as a platform to amplify the voices of humans navigating the fallout of chronic illness; to lend language to the complexities of our lives so that we can begin to share the unshareable; and to offer an honest glimpse into lives lived with and beyond illness. He was helping to complete the full story of Christ's afflictions still to be endured for Christ's church. While it is obvious the author has the spiritual gift of exhortation, I wish the format would be a bit easier to read. This book taught me so much more about my battle with my chronic illnesses and that god put me through this for a reason. Unless we are being conformed by the renewing of our mind (Romans 12:2) we will become the arbiters of God himself. I am not sure I would place this is my k-12 Christian school library unless it came to my attention that we had a secondary female student who suffered from a chronic illness. Each chapter employs the adjective “chronic” affixed to a Christian concept, upending the negative connotation of the word and demonstrating how Christ’s character and example show us how to live no matter the state of our physical condition.
