About this deal

The only thing with all lace tights is that they don't keep you as warm and aren't super soft, but for a classic pair, you can't go wrong with these. These advancements were first invented by Reverend William Lee, who created the first knitting machine in 1598. That is, until I came across an Instagram ad for Sheertex, a Kickstarter-founded pantyhose brand that claims to produce a nearly indestructible pair.

Snag Tights has burst onto the scene promising to change that, with size, height and weight-inclusive tights that actually fit, look great and last longer than your average pair. No, they (probably) aren't bulletproof, but they sure fulfill the initial claim of being indestructible by human hands—and, to be fair to the company, we were liberal on our definition of "human hands. Lexie joined Good Housekeeping in 2013 and has extensively tested apparel of all kind — including swimsuits, workout leggings, pajamas and more — using specialized lab equipment and with hundreds of consumer testers.Luckily for me, there was no gap at the crotch, but had I been a size larger, I don’t think I would have been able to get them on properly. Bursting Strength: Using our pneumatic bursting strength tester, we evaluate the front, back, crotch and toe seams to gauge how much pressure it takes to burst a hole in the fabric. I wore them for a few days (before the experiments, for obvious reasons, though they were still surprisingly intact and wearable even after I used the scissors on them).

Then I did what anyone sent a package of supposedly indestructible-by-human-hands hose might do: I pulled on them as hard as I could with my own human hands. Our pneumatic bursting strength tester measures the pressure needed to burst a hole in the fabric or a seam. Or, when you get them on all the way, only to realize there are gaping holes and streaky runs running down the sides of your legs. One tester said, "The tights showed no signs of wear with no snags or runs, which was super impressive as I put them through the ringer!Durability: Users unanimously agreed that these tights felt sturdier than other pairs and none experienced any snags or pilling during testing. The only con was that some testers found that while these tights were comfortable enough to wear all day, the waistband didn't always stay in place, sometimes slipping when sitting down or bending over. If I had a pound for every pair of tights that didn't fit, holed easily, laddered to the high heavens or were just plain uncomfortable over the years, I'd be rich.
